231. Solomon LEONARD^160,163 was born on 29 May 1765 in Bridgewater, Plymouth Co., MA.¹⁴¹ He died on 25 August 1851 at the age of 86 in Middleborough, Plymouth Co, MA.¹⁴⁵ Or were they married at Pomfret, VT?

A Solomon is in the 1800 Census for Pompey, Onondaga Co, NY. In 1810 he's in Fabius, and in 1820 and 1825 in Hector, Tompkins Co., NY. From 1830 on, he's in Wells, Bradford Co., PA, until the 1860 Census when he's in Hector, Schuyler Co., NY. Abraham has a household of 5 people in Hector in the 1825 Census; Curtis with four, Hulda with 5, and Solomon with 3.

In Tompkins County land records of 1827, the sheriff of the Count, from a writ of the Court of Common Pleas, was directed to direct goods and chattels unto Curtis H. Leonard, Abraham Leonard 2nd, Elisha Leonard, Ezra Grinold and Lucretia, his wife, Benoni Campbell and Mary, his wife; Truman B. Warner and Mabel, his wife, Henry Stringham and Solomon Leonard Stringham, "heirs of Solomon Leonard, deceased" for a $1,000 debt. Hulda Leonard removed with her children to Wells and d. 3 Feb 1842, 73y 6m 13 d, buried Coryland Cemetery.

The Solomon who died in Hector in 1825 was Solomon and Hulda's son. An alternative date for this Solomon's death is 1885 in Hector, Tompkins Co., NY, but that seems doubtful, given that he'd be 108.

Was there a Hulda Hodge (1780-1842)?

Solomon LEONARD and Huldah ORCUTT were married on 22 October 1787 in Pomfret, Windsor Co., VT.¹⁴⁵ Did they marry in Pomfret, VT, or Middleborough, MA? Huldah ORCUTT, daughter of Joseph ORCUTT and Deborah PRATT, was born on 21 July 1768 in Bridgewater, Plymouth Co., MA.¹⁶⁴ She died on 3 February 1842 at the age of 73 in Wells, Bradford Co., PA.¹⁶⁴ She was buried in Coryland Cemetery, Wells, Bradford Co., PA. This doesn't look right to me. Doublecheck. Hodge or Orcutt?

Sometimes referred to as Hulda Orcutt. Believed to be the same person.

Was she really Hulda Lydia Hodge? Were her parents really John and Sarah? Did she die in 1842 in Bradford, Steuben Co., NY, or in Wells, Bradford Co., PA?

Census records indicate Elisha was in Chemung Co., in 1830, Barton, Tioga Co., in 1840, and had a family of 7 children, 2 males b. 1821-30, and 5 daughters. This is probably another Elisha, not this one. Elisha is also said to have been born in Pompey, Onondaga Co., NY.
