Elijah Daniel LEONARD was born on 11 July 1838 in Sutton, Worcester Co., MA.49 He died on 2 May 1914 at the age of 75 in Worcester State Hospital, MA. He resided in Sutton, MA. At the time of his marriage, he was 34 and Mary was 22. It was a first marriage for both and performed in a Catholic church. In the 1880 Census, Elijah, 42, and his wife, Mary, 30, were living with their children, Josephine, 7, and George, 5, in Sutton, MA, near Jesse B. (his brother?), 49, and his wife, Susan. Their parents were born in MA. In the 1900 Census, it was recorded that they had 7 children, of which 6 were still living. But in 1900 his parents are listed as having been born in French Canada. It appears to be a transcription error. Elijah had disappeared by the 1910 Census, but Mary was living with daughter Rosanna Coskey and her husband, Henry F. Coskey, and their daughter, Louise M. in Sutton. Elijah Daniel LEONARD and Mary Berkley (?) were married on 2 January 1873 in Sutton, Worcester Co., MA.50 Mary Berkley (?) was born in July 1850 in MA.
