146. Francis Thomas LEONARD was born on 13 September 1850 in Danielsonville, CT. He died on 27 January 1929 at the age of 78 in Philadelphia, PA. He was buried in Taunton, Bristol Co., MA. He was known as Frank. He went to sea on his uncle's (Benjamin Arnold's) merchantile fleet. He "died in his chair." (per Harriotte Leonard Standish).

He learned the trade of stonecutter from his father who owned a shop of his own in Warwick, RI. Frank did all his own designing for mantles and stones. He also was a farmer, carpenter, railroad man in Jersey City, and in later years became the owner of ivory piano key manufacturing in Pratt, Read Co. and in the Specialty Nail Works of MA. According to Harriotte Leonard Standish, he was a very quiet personage with a loving disposition, fond of horses and horse racing, hunting, and fishing.

Francis Thomas LEONARD and Emily Josephine STOCKBRIDGE were married on 18 January 1887. Emily Josephine STOCKBRIDGE was born on 1 March 1855 in Boston, Suffolk Co., MA. She died on 19 September 1916 at the age of 61 in Taunton, Bristol Co., MA.

George Thomas LEONARD was born on 11 November 1887 in Warwick Neck, RI. He died on 25 June 1931 at the age of 43 in Raynham, Bristol Co., MA.35 He died of cihrrosis of the liver.

Harriotte Sabrina "Hattie" LEONARD was born on 8 October 1888 in Boston, Suffolk Co., MA. She died on 30 July 1939 at the age of 50 in Womelsdorf, PA. She was the author, with Lois Leonard Badger, of The Leonard Dictionary. She was a member of the DAR, Pennsylvania Historical Society, Charter member of the American Institute of Genealogy.
