Descendants of Seth Leonard ca.1729-ca.1774 of Taunton and Bridgewater, MA.

Descendants of the Seth Leonard who married Ruth Hoar have tested in Haplogroup J2, matching the descendants of James Leonard, but no documentary proof has been found as to the parents of Seth despite years of search by Wardwell C. Leonard, Jr., and other descendants.
 
There are several points at which further research is needed to document the descendants of Seth and separate them from the descendants of William Leonard and Sarah Bolton.  One is which Daniel Leonard was the son of Seth and Ruth and whom did he marry.
 
Descendants of Seth Leonard are carried through 5 generations to avoid naming people who are living.
