17. James Byron LEONARD1 was born on 23 February 1860 in Springfield, Bradford Co., PA. He died on 23 November 1950 at the age of 90 in Sayre, Bradford Co., PA. He was buried in Union Cemetery, Smithfield twp., Bradford Co., PA. B. Leonard, aged 90, Gillett, died at the Robert Packer Hospital Thursday, Nov. 23, 1950.
He is survived by three daughter, Mrs. Blanche Teeter, Milan, N.Y., Mrs. Sarah Ellen Adams, McGraw, Mrs. Grace Vanderpool, Willseyville, N.Y.; five sons, Judd, Dewey and Joseph Leonard, Wellsburg, King and Odell Leonard, Gillett; 33 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held from the home of his son King Leonard, Gillett, on Monday at 1:30 p.m., and in the Big Pond Church at 2 p.m., Rev. Edward Howe and Rev. Owen Barrett, with burial in the East Smithfield Cemetery.

James Byron LEONARD and Julia Alice SEYMOUR were married on 9 November 1884 in Parsonage, Disciple Church, East Smithfield, Bradford Co., PA. Julia Alice SEYMOUR was born on 15 September 1866 in Springfield, Bradford Co., PA. She died in 1950 at the age of 84.
