Leonard E. SWEENEY was born on 31 May 1918 in Providence, RI.4188 He died on 24 January 2004 at the age of 85 in Warwick, Kent Co., RI.4181 He lived at 53 Nakomis Drive, Warwick, RI, in 2002. He was a battalion chief of the Providence Fire Department. He retired in 1970. He then worked for Allendale insurance as a fire protection engineer. He was a graduate of Hope High School and Bryant College.

One of his daughters had a daughter, Kelly, who married Thomas Cassin III and has two children, Thomas L. Cassin IV and Matthew T. Cassin. (per Providence Journal Obituary, January 27, 2004).
