3441. Abiel LEONARD³⁰⁴⁷ was born on 24 May 1851 in Missouri. Did he attend Dartmouth College? There were two Abiel Leonards there in the 1870 Census.

They were one of the most progressive farmers in Saline Co., MO, owning some 1000 acres of excellent land. The town of Mt. Leonard was named after them.

Abiel LEONARD and Mittie N. STEVENS were married on 18 May 1886. Mittie N. STEVENS, daughter of Joseph STEVENS and Martha GIBSON, was born on 27 May 1863 in Boonville, MO. She died on 2 December 1912 at the age of 49 in Marshall, Saline Co., MO.
