Seventh Generation

1811. Russell L. LEONARD¹⁹²² was born on 8 February 1822 in Adams, Berkshire Co., MA. He died on 18 July 1903 at the age of 81 in Morris, Otsego Co., NY. He owned a cotton factory in Pittsfield, Otsego Co., NY. In 1850 he was living in Hartwick, Otsego Co. He came to Morris, Otsego Co., NY, in 1856. He purchased the Awkwright facory near New Berlin, NY, and manufactured cotton goods. He sold the business in 1870 to his brother and returned to Morris. He and Francis are mentioned in the Agricultural survey of 1880.

Also was a dairyman, farmer, with W.B. Leonard, proprietor of a cheese factory.

Russell L. LEONARD and Ann Maria BRACKETT were married on 25 November 1841 in Adams, Berkshire Co., MA. Ann Maria BRACKETT was born on 19 September 1823 in Williamstown, MA. She died on 17 March 1905 at the age of 81 in Morris, NY. She was buried in Hillington Cemetery, Morris, NY.
