3311. John Taylor LEONARD²⁹⁷⁰ was born on 23 May 1849 in Burlington, Des Moines, Iowa. He died on 19 March 1924 at the age of 74 in Soldiers Home, Santal, California. Another John Taylor Leonard lived in Price, UT. He was living in Ophir, Tooele Co., UT with his wife and son at the time of the 1880 Census. He does not descend from this line.

In the 1900 Census, he was a teamster living with his family in Murray precinct, Salt Lake County, UT. In the 1920 Census, John was working as a carpenter and boarding at 2421 Lake St. in Santa Monica, CA.

John Taylor LEONARD and Mahalia Jane RUSSELL were married on 3 April 1881 in Richfield, Sevier Co., UT. Mahalia Jane RUSSELL²⁹⁷¹ was born on 8 May 1867. She died on 13 November 1931 at the age of 64 in Salt Lake City, UT. She was also called May.
