1695. Rev. George Washington LEONARD¹⁷⁷⁶ was born on 17 August 1802 in Raynham, Bristol Co., MA.⁴³⁸ He died on 17 August 1831 at the age of 29 in Portland, ME.⁴³⁸ He attended Brown University and graduated from B. U. in 1824. He was settled in 1830 over the First Baptist Church in Portland, ME. The year after his death, in 1832, a volume of his sermons was published.
