4995. William Henry LEONARD³⁷⁵⁶ was born about 1845 in NY or IL. Doublecheck that this is the same William Henry Leonard. Another one has different parents: Jason Clyde Leonard and Rachel Ann Atwood.

This one was residing with his parents and brothers and sisters in Hampton, Washington Co., NY, in the 1860 Census, working as a clerk, and same in the 1870 Census, except he was a farmer and born in IL (all the other children were born in NY).

At the time of the 1880 Census, the family was living in New York City, where William was a hay and feed dealer.

William Henry LEONARD and Emma BELDEN were married about 1875 in NY. ECL has this wife; GML has Ellen Samantha Barteau. The latter married a different William Henry Leonard on 25 Dec 1871 in Hersy, Michigan. Emma BELDEN was born on 27 March 1850 in NY. She died on 18 August 1880 at the age of 30 in New York City, New York.

William Henry LEONARD and Emma BELDEN had the following children:
