He died on 2 February 1826 at the age of 53 in Taunton, Bristol Co., MA. Silas was buried in Plain Burying Ground, Taunton, MA. His will give to his wife all the furniture she brought with her, all the interest on the money she had from her father dower rights, to daughter Harriet $1000, to daughter Ruth Ann $1000 and one half house so long as she remained single, to son Silas the thresher dam lot, the Solomon Green lot, all my homestead which my father purchased of Nehemiah Dean, also the lot purchased of Rufus Leonard and 1/2 of the pew in the Raynham Meeting House.

Silas LEONARD and Ruth BRITTON were married on 9 April 1793 at Church of Christ, in Raynham, Bristol Co., MA.¹²⁶⁸ Ruth BRITTON, daughter of Robert BRITTON and Ruth CRANE, was born on 4 December 1776 in Raynham, Bristol Co., MA.¹²⁶⁹ She died on 22 January 1819 at the age of 42 in Taunton, Bristol Co., MA. She was buried in Plain Burying Ground, Taunton, MA.
