He was a clerk in Boston, 1846-1854. He was in "bloody Kansas" 1854-61. He studied theology with Rev. Blake in Taunton He was then asst. pastor at Edgartown, MA, 1862-65, Bridgewater 1865-7, Pastor at Westport, MA, 1868-75, Asst./Pastor at East Taunton 1876-79, North Carolina, 1879 on.
