He died on 4 July 1833 at the age of 81 in Buckfield, ME.151 ECL: Nathaniel lived with his grandfather Smith until he was 16 or 17 years old. Then he went to live with Capt. Isaac Wood of Middleboro where he stayed until he was 21 and where he learned shoe-making. He then went to live with Abner Wood on the east side of Assumset Brook. When he married, he moved into Elisha Bennett's house. He then bought Luther Hall's farm and lived there until 1798, when he sold and bought a farm at Fall Brook. In 1804 he sold out and moved to Buckfield, Maine, where he died. Of his children, none married except Sarah and Elkanah. Source: letter from Susanna Leonard to ECL 14 Dec 1873.
