1262. Isaac LEONARD was born on 7 August 1782 in Lansingburgh, NY. He died on 20 January 1847 at the age of 64 in Rochester, Monroe Co., NY. Family of Lois Leonard Badger, author of "The Leonard Dictionary." He served in the War of 1812 as a private and received a pension for that service. Actually, he served on a privateer. He married after returning from the War. He was a boot and shoemaker and was appointed inspector of leather by the Governor of NY. He died of disease and congestion of the lungs.

Isaac LEONARD and Mary WILLIAMS were married about 1814 in NY. Mary WILLIAMS was born about 1792 in NJ. In the 1850 Census, Mary was living with 3 of her children, James M., Martha A., and Laura J. in Rochester, Monroe Co., NY

2466	ix.	William Madison LEONARD was born on 20 March 1834 in Rochester, Monroe Co., NY. He died on 19 December 1871 at the age of 37 in Rochester, Monroe Co., NY. He was a shoe maker. He died unmarried, according to Lois Badger (Leonard Dictionary). He was living with his sister, Mary Aylesworth, at the time of his death.
