850. Experience "Peddy" LEONARD¹⁰¹⁷ was born on 7 October 1760 in Norton, Bristol Co., MA.¹¹⁵ She died on 17 November 1815 at the age of 55 in Providence, RI.

Experience "Peddy" LEONARD and Jabez BOWEN LLD were married on 21 May 1801 in Providence, RI. Jabez BOWEN LLD was born in 1739 in RI. He died in 1815 at the age of 76. He graduated from Yale 1759. He first married Sarah Brown, of RI's prominent Brown family. He was involved in their shipping business, including the rum, molasses, slaves, and China trade. He was a colonel in the RI militia during the Revolutionary War. He was also Lt. Governor of Rhode Island 1778-79 and 1781-86. He was Chief Justice of the RI Supreme Court. He was also Chancellor of Brown University.
