The Richmond Genealogy was that he was a farmer noted for his integrity. He lived in Raynham, removed to Goshen, Hampshire County, MA, and then removed to Savoy in 1800. The records show that James Lull sold a farm of 50 acres in Goshen to Nehemiah Leonard. In 1777, he served on a secret mission during the Revolutionary War. He also served several short enlistments as a private and as a minute man from Raynham on various Rhode Island alarms. (DAR ID # 34302). Nehemiah LEONARD and Mary Molly RICHMOND were married on 18 March 1778 in Taunton, Bristol Co., MA. Mary Molly RICHMOND, daughter of Nathaniel RICHMOND and Mary RICHMOND, was born in 1756 in Taunton, Bristol Co., MA. She died in June 1837 at the age of 81. She was Nehemiah's second cousin.
