762. Gamaliel LEONARD47,898,899 was born on 31 May 1757 in Raynham, Bristol Co., MA.896 He was born on 31 May 1757. He died on 7 August 1827 at the age of 70 in Fairhaven, Rutland Co., VT. Gamaliel was a private in Capt. Phillip King's company, Col. George Williams' 3rd Bristol County regiment, 1776, and saw service in Boston and at Fort Ticonderoga. He removed to Lenox, MA, worked at a forge there, then to Pittsfield, then to Greensfield (now Hampton Mills), NY, then to Fairhaven, VT. In January 1786, he bought 120 acres of land and erected a saw mill. In 1788, with Elias Stevens and Daniel Arnold, he erected a forge. He was a selectman at Fairhaven in 1811.

Gamaliel LEONARD and Anna WETHERELL were married on 17 February 1783 in Norton, Bristol Co., MA.577,900 Anna WETHERELL, daughter of John WETHERELL, was born on 18 November 1758 in Norton, Bristol Co., MA. She died in April 1830 at the age of 71 in Fairhaven, VT.

David Howard LEONARD903 was born on 4 June 1793 in Fairhaven, VT. He died on 20 October 1816 at the age of 23. Fanny Leonard Koster, on chart 1, lists children George, James, Henry, 2 daughters, and Gilbert, but it's doubtful that Howard had all those children by the time he was 23. ECL says he died unmarried.
