476. Col. Nathaniel LEONARD626 was born in 1728 in Taunton, Bristol Co., MA. He died on 10 February 1795 at the age of 67 in Taunton, Bristol Co., MA.627 He was on the muster roll of officers who marched on the alarm of 19 Apr 1775. He was a major, then a Lt. Col. in Col. Timothy Walker's regiment in the Revolutionary War. He was mustering officer for the Revolutionary Army at Taunton. He died suddenly "at his son's house a few minutes after arriving there," per ECL He was a delegate to the Convention to ratify the Constitution in 1788. He was "a member of the Federal Court." Col. Nathaniel LEONARD and Mary WILLIAMS were married in 1750. Mary WILLIAMS, daughter of James WILLIAMS and Sarah BARNEY, was born in 1734 in Taunton, Bristol Co., MA. She died on 31 October 1801 at the age of 67 in Taunton, Bristol Co., MA. She was a sister of Sarah, who married Abiathar Leonard.
