6700. Frank Dwyer LACE was born on 20 November 1911 in Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan, Canada. He died on 29 April 2005 at the age of 93 in Toronto, Canada. He graduated from the Royal Miitary College of Canada in 1932. During the Depression, he worked in Toronto as an investment salesman and soldiered part time with the 7th Regiment, Canadian Field Artillery. He shipped out for Britain in January 1940. He received the Distinguished Service Order and was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire for his tactical use of artillery after D-Day in the sweep across Netherlands. After the war, he returned to the investment business, finishing as chairman of Matthews and Co. Ltd., from 1972 to 1975.

He loved golf and got a hole-in-one at age 91 when legally blind.
