Zebulon LEONARD420,421 was born on 6 March 1729/30 in Middleborough, Plymouth Co, MA.422 He died on 29 November 1794 at the age of 64 in Middleborough, Plymouth Co, MA.423 He was buried on 2 December 1794 in Lakeville Cemetery (Thompson's Hill), Lakeville, MA.60 He was Town Assessor, 1765. It was voted that he, among others, be confined to his homestead except on the Lord's Day unless they make satisfactory pledges to the Town Committee of Safety (pro-independence committee), and if they were found off their homesteads, they were to be taken to Roxbury to the Military. He was reported by the selectmen as one of those enimically (sic) disposed in the present struggle with Great Britain. But in 1789 he was elected representative, selectman in 1791, Selectman in 1793/4 and 1795, and Moderator in 1795. (ECL) He died "in 1/2 hour, after taken poorly." He and his brother were in court over dividing their father's library during the Court of Common Pleas term of December 1785 to April 1791. They were also in court over words spoken by Sarah Leonard about Zebulon. In the 1790 Census, Zebulon shows as having a family of 6 -- 2 males under 16, 1 male over 16 (Zebulon?), 3 females (wife would be one). Children missing here? Or relatives living with him? Zebulon LEONARD and Hannah MILLER were married on 27 May 1755 in Middleborough, Plymouth Co, MA.424 Hannah MILLER, daughter of Elias MILLER and Sarah HOLMES, was born on 5 January 1733 in Middleborough, Plymouth Co, MA. She died on 30 June 1796 at the age of 63 in Middleborough, Plymouth Co, MA.425 She was buried in Lakeville Cemetery (Thompson's Hill), Lakeville, MA.60 Zebulon LEONARD and Hannah MILLER had the following children:
