509. General David COBB was born on 14 September 1748 in Attleborough, Bristol Co., MA. He died on 17 April 1830 at the age of 81 in Taunton, Bristol Co., MA. He graduated from Harvard 1766 and for many years practiced as a physician in Taunton. He was a member of the Provincial Congress in 1775 and belonged to the military family of Gen. Washington. He served as a General in the Revolutionary War. He was a representative in Congress from 1793 to 1795, a member of the House and Senate in Massachusetts, serving as both Speaker of the House and President of the Senate.

His sister was the wife of Robert Treat Paine, also a member of Congress and Attorney General of Massachusetts.

General David COBB and Eleanor BRADISH were married in 1766. Eleanor BRADISH, daughter of Ebenezer BRADISH and Eunice COOK, was born on 30 January 1748. She died in 1830 at the age of 82.

1069	iv.	William Gray COBB was born on 10 February 1773 in Taunton, Bristol Co., MA. He died on 4 November 1791 at the age of 18.

1075	x.	Ebenezer Bradish COBB was born on 30 October 1781 in Taunton, Bristol Co., MA. He died in 1840 at the age of 59.
1076	xi.	Henry Jackson COBB was born on 18 December 1784 in Taunton, Bristol Co., MA. He died in July 1848 at the age of 63.
