He died on 31 October 1908 at the age of 57 in Chicago, Cook Co., IL.³¹¹⁰ He was buried in Rosehill Cemetery, Chicago, IL. He initially lived in the Westbrook section of Kingston. He moved to Chicago, IL, about 1883 and worked for the Bell Telephone Company. Nickname "Ves." Cousin of R.A. Leonard of Chicago. He lived at 1202 West Adams St. and died of hemorrhage of the lungs. Cousin Raymond Leonard signed his death certificate.

In the 1900 Census, they were living in Ward 12, Chicago. They are listed as having 2 children (sons), so one must have moved away. They were naturalized in 1885.

Wilbert George LEONARD was born on 21 August 1893 in Chicago, Cook Co., IL. He died in December 1965 at the age of 72 in IL. He's listed in the 1900 and 1910 Censuses, living with his parents in the first and with his brother Robert in the second.

His World War I draft card finds him single, a trouble shooter with the telephone company, with a medium build, blue eyes, and light hair.

In the 1916 Canadian Census, there is a George Leonard, single, living in North Battleford, Saskatchewan with the Bertie and Elizabeth White family. He moved to Saskatchewan in 1915.
