Another obit, Napanee Beaver, Friday, 19 Oct 1906: "Deceased was born in the county of Grenville, August 1, 1823, and for over fifty years carried on the business of carriage making at Westbrook. He recently made his home with his daughter, and until a few months ago enjoyed excellent health. Mr. Leonard was a well read man and took a keen interest in the affairs of church and country, and was respected for his integrity and honesty. Although long past the Psalmist's three score and ten allotment, his hair had not turned grey nor was his physical force abated. He seemed to retain his youth and its associations to an unusual degree, and was beloved, especially by the young. His wife died eight years ago, in her seventy-fifth year, they having enjoyed married life for over fifty-four years..."
